Online direct marketers need to wise up. Say I buy from your online store once, and then you start sending me marketing emails once or more a week. Guess what? Your emails are going straight into my spam box.
Instead of just snowing me under with spam, why don't you try a little nuance. Start slow with the emails: once a month, with a really good offer, might be a good start. See if I respond. If I do, then you could up the frequency a little bit. Keep watching my responses, and then you can respond accordingly.
Even Amazon does a horrible job with this. Yes, I buy from them all the time. But I never click their emails. They come too often, and they don't seem that relevant to me.
